I didn't forget about showing you all the dresser make over, I'm just not quite finished with it yet(long story, that I will tell when I show you it). But I have been working on some other things right along with it, besides working on my sewing room and cleaning out my youngest 3 munchkins closet and dressers, I've painted and aged the multi candle holder, the wall candle sconces, the big firkin, a small wall cupboard, and made this apron for my dear friend.
We both bought new white butcher aprons from Goodwill for $1.98. I then coffee stained them(with instant coffee) and baked them in the oven. I wish I would have taken a pic of them before, but they were just plain pure white cotton canvas bib aprons. Anyway, then I added the ruffle on the bottom and the trim on the top and sides, all the check fabric is actually tea towels that I bought a few years ago. After that I stitched on the crow and the star and shortened the neck tie a bit. And there you have a "new" prim apron. Now I just need to whip up mine.
Do you think the crow needs feet?
Love your apron - and now you don't have to worry about getting it dirty - one more stain won't make a bit of difference! LOL I say yes to feet on the crow.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I say add the feet.
ReplyDeleteThat apron is too cute. I vote for feet on your crow as well. Your candle sconces look perfect right where you put them.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
