I would model it for you, but it doesn't quite look right with the giant belly. I'll save the body shot for when I can actually show you the baby in it :)
Anyway, I'm happy with how it turned out and it is one more thing checked off my list.

The large acorn birdhouse came from the local prison store that is filled with wonderful handmade wood products. The fabric acorn came from Ebay many years ago. The two squirrels on the tree are actually salt and pepper shakers and were a goodwill find. And the little tiny squirrel was from my miniature collection as a little girl.
This huge ceramic acorn was another goodwill find. I'm sure it was some homemade ceramic 70's project, but I just couldn't pass it up, even though the colors are a bit harsh. And the little grass squirrel is from a Fair Trade party.
This ceramic squirrel is from target or walmart(don't remember which one). Two more fabric acorns and another set of salt and pepper shakers from goodwill. The little acorns in all the pics are from pottery barn.
So there you have another one of my quirky collections.
I showed you the hat earlier, but I also made a pair of mary jane booties to match.
Here is the finished quilt. I put a super soft minky(I think that is the name of it) fabric on the back. Machine quilted it and handstitched the binding.
It came out cute and ended up being bigger than I expected, which is a good thing.
I still need to finish up, ok start, the bedding for the little crib in the family room, that will be this week's project.Question 1. The quilt hanging in my family room was made by a good friend several years ago and is called Village Quilt Block, here is a link... http://www.citystitcher.com/bom.php scroll down about half way and they have the whole kit or individual blocks.
Question 2. How do I get so much done. Honestly I don't. I don't get near as much done as I would like too. I tend to work in spurts, somedays I don't get anything accomplished other than household chores, then other days, I get on a roll and get a ton of stuff done. Basically, if I get going, I keep going, if I sit, I tend to keep sitting ;) Also, if I'm going to do something, I do it all the way, I hate half a$$ workmanship, whether it is with projects or chores, if you are going to do it, do it right. And I guess, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I like things a certain way and so I make it that way.
And thank you for asking, my stomach is feeling much better, it is still sore, but no where near the horrible pain it was. Of course now I'm suffering from day 4 of an earache, but I'm holding off on going to Dr, I just am too frugal to pay an extra bill when I have an OB appointment tomorrow.
Well, I need to clean the house good today, the floors are screaming for a mopping and a ton of laundry to put away, so I'm off to work.
Have a lovely day,
I also made a hat for the baby shower on Sunday(the pink one) and a "sweet pea" hat for Mason.
Also, another pair of leg warmers and a matching hat.
And a pair of fingerless mittens for myself (modeled by my 12yr old with her green nail polish). I still want to add some buttons to these to spice them up a bit.
My stomach is still extremely painful today, so I'm going to try and rest the remainder of the day, which is hard, because I still have a ton to do. I think tomorrow will be a Q+A post.
We are going out to dinner tonight, just the two of us, which is very rare and hubby bought me season 2 of Avonlea. Which by the way, I highly recommend this old tv series, it's fun to see the old houses and costuming and you can actually watch it with the kids without worrying about bad stuff.
I finally made a knit gown for the baby. But my sewing machine was acting up with the knit fabric, so I gave up and just hand sewed the whole thing. Which really only took an evening, baby clothes are small luckily. I think in came out pretty cute.
Then I crocheted some baby leg warmers for under the gown. That way during diaper changes, his little legs will still be warm. I want to make a few more pairs, yet another evening project.
I also made this bag for the baby. I fell in love with this bear fabric at goodwill a few months ago. It was originally a pair of curtains, but I knew they could be turned into something else. The fabric is a heavy canvas, perfect for a tote bag. I added the trim and a pocket on the inside, but I still need to get a thin piece of plastic to make a bottom for it so it has some stability.
And I'm working on a baby quilt for a baby shower that I'm going to on the 24th. My neighbors are throwing it for me and another neighbor. She is due the end of March and is having a girl, so I'm making her a girly patchwork quilt and maybe a matching tote(time depending).
That's it for now. Sorry I haven't been around. I have a ton of mail I still need to answer, which I'm getting too, but with running the kids to all their activities and trying to get so much done, computer time is limited lately.
