I know a lot is going on in the world right now and sometimes I feel and I realize I live in my own little bubble...a sheltered little world that I create for my family and myself.  It's not a bad thing, but sometimes the jolt of the outside world can be harsh.

I pray for the lives lost and the families left behind from the Navy yard shootings....May God give them peace and strength.

And I don't know if you heard about it, but on Monday there was a training accident at the base my son is stationed at.... too close to my bubble.  A Marine was killed and four were injured.  The young man who was killed was only 21, please say a prayer for his family... I can't even imagine what they are going through.
My son will be 20 next month and I worry about him every day being a Marine.  I know he is smart and strong, but I am his mom and he will always be my baby.
He is being deployed on Monday, so if you could say a prayer for his safety, I would greatly appreciate it.  And please keep all of our military and their families in your prayers, it's not an easy life.

  1. Yes many prayers to all of the families who have lost... My son as well is in the service he is in the airforce joined when he was 19 (he wanted to join the marines, but good ole mom talked him out of it, so he went with the airforce, to this day he says he wishes he went with the marines, he is a hard head so he would of done well in it, but I worried for his safety, it is alot more war forced then the airforce) he looked like a little boy the day I went to see him graduate basic training, he is now 30 and is definetly a grown man who has matured so much being in the service he is working on 12 years and plans to retire from the service which will be in 8 years..... prayers to your son to stay safe....

  2. I pray every night for our men and women who fight for our freedom, got your son covered!

  3. Such awful things happening in this world right now. I pray for your son and many other sons and daughters that are fighting for us !! XOXOXO

  4. Big Prayers Tiff... Our Cameron deployed again last month... It never gets easier... If you need anything just ask... (((HUGS)))

  5. My prayers go out to the families that lost loved ones. I will pray for your son also and all those who serve our country. My son was deployed last month to Afghanistan, he's in the Air Force and turned 21 three weeks ago. I miss him terribly but know that he's doing something important.
On a side note; Congratulations to you and your family on running your first 5k, what a great accomplishment!
