Joining Ginny over at
Small Things with her "yarn along". I'm working on a sweater for Asher. I really prefer the look of knit things, but since I don't know how to knit, crocheting will have to do :) The pattern can be found here...
Aesthetic Nest. It's very easy to follow. I'm going to try to finish this up today as it is a nice gloomy rainy day to sit and hold a baby and crochet.
Have a great day,
Tiff
That sweater is wonderful. I also tend to prefer the look of knitting, but crochet is such nice instant gratification. How great that you have 8 children - I am the mom to 7.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteYes, large families are wonderful... I would have more if I could, but age is creeping up on me, so I will have to be content with grandbabies in the future! I love reading your blog and look forward to seeing your new home here in Maine when you post about it. Maybe we can meet up one day.
Aww, you could learn to knit. It is easy. Basically, where crochet is variations on one basic stitch, knit is all just variations on two basic stitches, the knit and the purl. Your sweater is lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteI have tried to knit, made a baby doll hat but that is it. I think I'm just too impatient ;)
DeleteTiff, your are so talented...what a sweet little sweater...Asher Jacob will look just adorable in it...he is growing like a weed!!! What a lovely family you have...you are blessed...
ReplyDeleteHe is growing fast and the sweater should fit him soon. I am very blessed and thank God every day for my kiddos :) I'm so happy for you that you have a new grandbaby to love!! You are blessed too :)
