My New Kitchen...
First...thank you all for the nice comments on my catch up post...as I looked at it, I couldn't believe how much Asher has changed just since September!! Yes, he is in desperate need of a haircut. But we are waiting for his first one to be done at Disney World! Yep...we are headed there in 2 weeks!!!!! ALL TEN OF US! Can you tell I am excited ?LOL! It will be all the kids first trip there and I haven't been there in 24 years, so it will be like all new to me to :) More on that later...here is my little nugget.
I'm really going to try to get back into blogging, it's so nice to be able to look at years past in one place. Life has been busy and extremely boring at the same time....time keeps passing and I know I will regret not recording it. I have been doing instagram I know it's just not the same as a blog post.
So enough about that....let's start with a project I did this past Spring...I did a $40 makeover on my kitchen. It's amazing what a can of white paint can do :) I put a fresh coat on the upper cupboards and finally painted the lower ones and the island. I LOVE the results!! I also removed cupboard doors is some spots too.
Then a few months ago... I got inspired to remove the annoying doors on my small pantry(they would never stay shut). So the pantry got a small makeover too with some organization and baskets.

One day the super ugly tile floor will go...unfortunately that day is probably awhile off :(

Long Overdue Catch Up Post....
Hello my dear friends...I never intended to step away from this space for so long...it just kind of happened. I blogged a private space for Asher's first year and it was hard enough to keep up with that, I guess it seemed like so much work to jump over here too. I haven't even looked at blogs in ages... the ease of instagram from my phone lured me in. But I do miss this and I am going to try to make space in the day to come here.
There is so many pictures to catch up with that it will take several days worth of posts...so we will start with the most important subject matter first ;) the baby!! He has grown so much and is such a sweet, lovable, huggable dare devil!! Here are the last 6 months in a nutshell....
Mother's Day....
Wild man hair!!
Father's Day...

4th of July...

Yarn Along...
I'm joining Ginny at Small Things in her weekly Yarn Along....
I finished up my Lovey Lamb!! He was destined for Asher's Easter basket but there are two problems...one, he is HUGE!! He came out much larger than the 9" height the pattern says(my fault I'm sure because I'm not the best at following a pattern), and two, all the other kids want him too. So I think he will just live in the family room as a cute sofa pillow :)
If you want to make your own Lovey Lamb(or bunny) head over to Posie Gets Cozy for the pattern.
I modified it a bit and did different arms and legs because I thought less floppy ones would last longer in my house.
Have a beautiful day,
Tiff

Yarn Along...
Joining Ginny at Small Things for her weekly Yarn Along.
I'm working on a Lovey Lamb, pattern by Alicia Paulson over at Posie Gets Cozy. Very easy to follow pattern so far. He does seem to be coming out quite large though. I used the correct size hook for the brown top but the even smaller recommended hook was too small for the cream part, so I went bigger, but I don't think that explains how big the top is...maybe he is just supposed to be this big. He will be a pillow on the sofa I think :)
Happy Wednesday to you,
Tiff
