After a night of hearing the wind howling and the rain beating against the house, we woke up to this...
The screen door was torn off right at the hinges and the little wood snowman had lost his legs...
It has been a crazy winter, warm temperatures, not much snow, and now this wicked rain storm. The kids even had a "snow day" today because half the town was without power this morning and there were flood warnings. Luckily we live on a hill and didn't lose power, but there is a lot of clean up to do.

Wow Tiff that was some wicked wind. Sorry it made such a mess for you. Glad you didn't loose power with having the baby and all. Good luck with the clean up.

wow you got some serious winds there..I hate when our winds blow here as we have tall trees and we always fear that they will coming crashing down on our house..one did about a year after we moved to our "newly" built home..scared the crap out of us..sounded like an earth quake..luckily the builders came out and fixed it the very next day...take care and glad you are all okay.:>)
ReplyDeleteOur weather can pretty wild here and our winter has been so odd, more snow than usual. I guess Mother Nature gets cranky too! Glad your all safe.
ReplyDeleteWe live in the desert and get some pretty bad wind storms sometimes too. No fun at all. I'm glad to see that you're recovering and are getting past the post partum, you're baby is adorable.

I know, what a strange day. I made it up to my office before I realized the power was out. They had police at the intersection directing traffic. I had to shut down the office for the day. I wasn't expecting that at all. Didn't it sound like a freight train all last night. Glad we are all safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteWe get really wicked winds here in Nebraska. Hope it doesn't take long to get your mess righted :)
