Well....

I want to sincerely thank all of you who commented on my last post, they all meant so much to me. I do plan on emailing you all to(some are no-reply though, so thank you if I can't email you back!).

Cameron is doing well and we have heard from him. His training got delayed by a week and half, which he was not happy about, I guess there was a scheduling snafu and now there is a whole platoon down there just twiddling their thumbs!

I'm doing better emotionally, I just wish I was physically better. I have been battling something since before Christmas break. It started in my nose and turned into some sort of sinus infection, that cleared up bit it went directly to my chest and I have been coughing and short of breath for 2 weeks. And to add to that, I did something to the inside of my ankle and if I walk too much it hurts and swells.  I'm just a basket case!

Ok, deep breath and telling myself to just let it go....so I decided to delete the whole second half of this post because it will not do me or you any good.  All I will say is that my hubby's paycheck today was not a pretty sight. And our monthly loss is significant. We will be cutting some lifestyle things, and now I just had to delete the second half of this sentence because I want to say some things that I really shouldn't say.  I need to keep this blog positive, not because I'm scared to say what I think, but because I need to stop letting fear and worry creep into me. I have faith, I am praying, and God will prevail over the evil that is out there.

Keep praying my friends,

Tiff

  1. I hope the loss in pay is just a temporary thing. It is hard to face uncertainty when it comes to financial matters.

I hope things will get better.

  3. Sometimes it is hard to stay positive when so much is being taken away from us. I LOVE this great land of ours, but I fear that the Country as we know is being taken from us, too. Sad, very sad.
I think the military motto is "hurry up and wait!". Please thank your son for his service to our Country.
    Hugs :)

So sorry you are dealing with whatever it is that has you so upset.
He does know us and knows what we are going through. I hope He can give you some comfort in your thoughts as well as your physical pains.

  7. Tiff I am glad to see that you are adjusting some, it is very very hard.... I wanted to tell you I mentioned in my first comment to you about my son in the Airforce for 11 years and I was going out to see him this coming week for his birthday a surprise to him, well he called me last night and said he was leaving this morning (saturday) for Japan for at least 2 months... my heart sunk, and tears started to roll... I haven't seen him since last July and was so excited to go out and surprise him for his birthday, I don't have the heart to tell him I was coming, he is so bummed about going on this deployment as it is... so now I probably won't get to see him until July again... I hope... and I lost out on the ticket no refunds no transfers... Crazy things happen I know..... Stay strong and I hope you get to feeling better soon, I fought some kind of sickness myself for 3 weeks, went to the doctor and still have alot of nasal congestion.

  8. Good morning Tiffany, I agree with Lauren (Rugs and Pugs). Our country is being changed and I don't know if we'll ever know it as it used to be. I'm so proud to be an American and always will be.
Young men like your son and soooo many others deserve an enourmous amount of credit, when they serve this wonderful country of our in the armed forces. as they do. May God be with him throughout the time he is away. May God give you the strength that you'll need also. We Moms have to be strong for our children.
Have you tried Musinex for the congestion in your chest.. I've found that it really works.
I hope you'll be feeling much better soon.. Spring is coming !
    Blessings, Charlotte in Va.

  9. You are right ~ just keep breathing! I feel your pain about the paycheck. My hubby has been laid off from his job since the beginning of November and I only work 3 days a week at my job, so we are really struggling. But, this too shall pass!! Seems like when it rains, it pours, doesn't it? We've both had the "crud" since before Christmas and just when you think it's under control, it rears it's ugly head again. I'm just thankful that (so far) neither of us has had it turn into a full blown case of the flu. We have no health insurance, so we are doing whatever we can to stay healthy.

I'm glad to hear that Cameron is doing well. Still praying for all of y'all! Hope you enjoy your weekend!
    ~Donna
