Wednesday's Works...

Sunday night I decided that Mason and I needed new outfits to wear to Camden, so I made these. A romper outfit for him and a skirt for me. Sorry for the pics, my camera is getting old and is very temperamental when it comes to inside photos.
Ignore the wrinkles, I took the pics after he wore it.
And my skirt... it's ankle length with an elastic waist and double ruffle hem. I love this fabric, put it in the washer and dryer and it came out beautifully and doesn't seem to wrinkle. It's a reproduction(1840-1860 coverlet) print that I found at Marden's.
And here is my work in progress... I got this drop side crib from a little old man who didn't know what to do with it because you can't sell them anymore. So I got it for free. I took off one side and I'm in the process of spray painting it a buttercream color. It will be a sitting bench for somewhere in my yard.

The thing is soaking up the paint, I used three cans already and I need to buy more. Hopefully I can get it done tomorrow, that is if I feeling like making the trip to Walmart for more paint ;)

Have a lovely day,

Tiff

  1. Very sweet little romper. And I love skirts for summer-so much cooler.
I used to sew matching dresses for my daughter and myself. It was so much fun!

  3. I've wanted to try my hand at skirt making, love yours, what pattern did you use? And I've always wanted to make a seatee from a old crib, can't wait to see it done!

  4. I love Rompers on babies. Seems to me that now days they aren't used much. Everything must have snaps for convenience. Yours is lovely as is your skirt.

  5. I saw you won a prize and looked you up. The baby bed has lots of possibilities, so be sure to post when you are finished. I love anything sewing and old stuff. And gardens. And blogs.

  6. Oh Tiff, I'm happy to pop back in to visit your blog-I haven't been on the computer for awhile and I always love to read EVERYTHING you have to write. I love hearing about family, thoughts, and your house is something I just swoon over.

The romper is too cute and I can't wait to see the crib and the 'secret rose garden.'

Hoping you and your family are doing well. All the best, friend!
