Goodwill Cupboard and Shop Find...

I bought this little cupboard at goodwill over 2 months ago for $4.99. I finally got around to painting and hanging it up last week. It was a rusty orange color, I just painted it black and sanded it. It makes the perfect holder for my plastic animal collection. Yes, yet another collection that I'm not sure why I collect. Just something about old plastic animals that I like. Wait till you see my cow collection!

And here is a berry holder that I found at a local shop the other week when I bought that enamelware tub. I have it sitting in my sewing room right now. I'm not sure what I will fill it with, but I just couldn't pass it up, especially since it had all the wood berry baskets with it too.
More pics of the house to come soon, it's just taking me longer than expected to finish things up, I'll use the excuse that I'm 6 and half months pregnant!
Have a lovely day,
Tiff

  1. Your shelf is nice and so are you animals. I wonder why I collect some of things I do as well. I guess its just because I like to. I love the basket holder and baskets. Not so sure what I would do with it either but that wouldn't stop me from buying it either.
I haven't been a member of your blog for long so I didn't know you were expecting. Congratulations! Yes you can use that as your excuse for anything you want.

  3. Love your cupboard and berry basket Tiff. I think you should fill the baskets with tomato pincushions - you could start another collection! LOL

  5. I love the cupboard. I'm not sure I'd have seen past the orange, so I might not have noticed it. You made it look wonderful. I love the little basket holder too. I picture it with candles in it.
    Blessings,
