Day 5, Concert and a Gift..

As you can see, my postings are getting later and later, there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything I want to get done, Done! And I have so many emails to catch up on(which I'm very bad at to begin with, one of my major faults I know) , and I need to make 9 ornaments for a family reunion we are going to in 12 days(oh my gosh, I didn't realize it was that close), 2 skirts for myself, finish Christmas shopping, clean out my closet, reupholster that long stool, and make some homemade gifts. BUT, I did get my Christmas cards made last night, that was the Shutterfly post below. I like how the card came out and on the inside I put a pic of the kids all together. I just hope they arrive before we have to leave, I know I'm cutting it close.

I really appreciate all your kind comments about my home. It is a work of love and I'm glad it shows. I'll be posting more house pics in the upcoming days, but today was a busy day and I didn't get any more of the house taken.

My oldest daughter had a birthday party to go to today which she forgot she didn't have a gift for, so I made another wool purse. I thought I would share it because it could work as a nice Christmas present for a teenage girl in your life.
It was pretty easy to make. And if anyone is interested in directions(or my attempt at them) let me know in a comment and I will post a follow up in the comments.
It's a two tone(pink and burgundy) wool shoulder bag, with a flap closure, key ring clip on the outside, personalized name tag at the bottom, and flower on the front. I think it came out pretty cute.

My youngest daughter is a member of our town community chorus. She and one other middle schooler are the only children in the group. She absolutely loves to sing and I'm so proud of her for doing this and giving it her all. Tonight was there Prelude to Christmas Concert and for whatever reason, the other little girl didn't show up. So my daughter was the only child up there with 60 some adults and she did an awesome job. It was a lovely concert and my 4 little boys sat quietly through the whole 2 hours, though the youngest two did fall asleep.
If your town house a community chorus, you should check and see if they have any concerts going on, it's a wonderful way to start the Christmas season.

See you tomorrow,

Tiff

  1. Proud mommy. She looks beautiful and good for her to be joining the chorus. She looks like you in the photo. By the way, the 4th box of shiny brites did not go for $85, the woman had bought something else so that was her total. Thanks again for your help.
